Pop Change US Cities 1960-2015

In just the last five years many major US Cities have regained half or more of the population lost during the major urban exodus of the last half of the 20th Century. While Chicago and other rust belt cities have struggled to re-acquire lost citizens, Atlanta and Washington, DC have regained nearly half of the residents lost during the latter half of the 1900’s. For Atlanta, it took three decades to lose nearly 100,000 people and only five years to re-gain over 40,000.
